What is the IR5 Visa?
The IR5 visa is an immigrant visa for parents of U.S. citizens. It allows parents to permanently live and work in the United States without needing an Employment Authorization Document (EAD).
Eligibility Criteria
For the Sponsoring Child
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must live in the United States
- Must demonstrate financial ability to support the parent
For the Parent
- Must reside outside the United States
- Must provide documentation proving relationship
