Since moving from Bangladesh to South Dakota on a visitor visa, I’ve been amazed by how much I enjoy the quiet life here. My visa is set to expire in a few months, but I’d love to stay longer to explore work or study opportunities without getting into legal trouble. What are the safest and most practical ways to extend my stay or change my immigration status before my current visa runs out?

You can apply to extend your visitor visa before it expires or request a change of status if you qualify for another visa category. Acting early is critical to avoid unlawful presence.
