You must submit a new Form I-765 Application for Employment Authorization to USCIS.

 On the form, you must choose the same eligibility category as before as asylum seeker, DACA, TPS, green card applicant, etc.

If you apply to renew on time and you are eligible such as asylum applicants, TPS holders, green card applicants, you may get an automatic 180-day extension while USCIS processes your renewal.

 After you apply, USCIS will send you a receipt notice Form I-797C this proves you applied and may serve as proof of automatic extension.
