I’m an F-1 student. I just want to know if I'm allowed to start my own business?

As an F-1 student, you’re not allowed to start your own business while studying unless it’s part of authorized practical training (OPT or CPT).

Nah, F-1 students usually can’t start a business unless it’s part of CPT or OPT. Better ask your school’s DSO to be sure.

As far as I know, F-1 students can start a business but cannot actively work for it unless authorized under OPT or CPT, and the work must relate to their field of study.
