I'm an F-1 student and want to start working in the US after graduation. What are my options for obtaining work authorization?

You may be eligible for Optional Practical Training (OPT), which allows you to work in your field for up to 12 months.

You'll need to apply for OPT through USCIS and receive an Employment Authorization Document (EAD).

You may also be eligible for STEM OPT, which allows for an additional 24 months of work authorization.
