If I overstayed my visa by a few weeks but leave voluntarily, will that affect my chances of future U.S. visas?

Yes, even a short overstay can impact future visa applications. While an overstay of fewer than 180 days typically does not trigger an automatic reentry ban, it is still a violation of U.S. immigration laws

yes, it can affect things—but not always in a major way. If you overstayed just a few weeks and then left on your own (before hitting the 180-day mark), you won’t be automatically barred from coming back

Yes, it will likely affect your future visa chances—even if it was just a few weeks
