I have DACA but want to travel outside the U.S. to visit my sick grandparent. Is it possible?

Yes, but you must first apply for and receive something called Advance Parole before leaving.

Advance Parole is special permission that allows DACA recipients to travel outside and return to the U.S. legally.

You need to file Form I-131 Application for Travel Document and explain your emergency clearly.

Do not leave the U.S. until your Advance Parole is approved if you do, you could lose your DACA.

Approval isn't guaranteed, so you should avoid buying plane tickets until Advance Parole is issued.
