Family-based immigration cases—I keep hearing they’re faster than employment ones. Is that true from your experience?

When my cousin applied through family sponsorship, it was definitely quicker than my friend who went the employment route. I think it’s because there’s no labor certification involved, which saves time

Not always. Family-based cases might seem faster if you’re an immediate relative, but for other family categories, it’s not much different from employment-based timelines because of country caps and backlogs.

what i know, family-based cases can be faster, but only for close relationships like spouses or children. Sibling sponsorships take much longer, sometimes over a decade!
