It totally depends on the visa type and the country you’re in. Some visas don’t allow you to work for anyone, even remotely, while others are more flexible. You’ve gotta check the rules of your visa to be sure

For many visas, working remotely for your company back home is technically not allowed, because even online work can count as employment in the country you’re staying in. Best to confirm with a legal expert or immigration office.

I’ve done this before! I worked for my home company while living abroad on a tourist visa, but it felt like I was taking a risk. Legally, most visas don’t allow any kind of work, even if it’s remote

The answer’s not straightforward. Some countries are chill about remote work if you’re not earning in their economy, while others treat it as a violation of your visa. It really depends on where you are and the visa you’ve got

Working remotely for your home company might not be allowed on some visas, so check the rules before joining
