Can H 1 B visa holders apply for a Green Card while still working in the U.S., and what are the common challenges in this transition?

The H-1B is not a green card, but it can serve as a stepping stone to a green card, as it is “dual intent,” meaning you can apply for permanent residency (a green card) while on an H-1B visa. However, you must go through a separate process to obtain a green card.

I was declined, I believe it was due to insufficient evidence
