My I-140 is approved, but my priority date is not current. If I change employers, do I lose my place in line?

No, in most cases you can keep your priority date when moving to a new employer.

Your new employer will need to file a fresh PERM and I-140.

The old I-140’s priority date usually transfers to the new petition.

You may lose your place only if the old I-140 was revoked for fraud or misrepresentation.
