I’m a nurse from the Mexico working in Texas on a work visa. Can I apply for a green card through my employer, or should I consider marriage to my U.S. citizen boyfriend instead?

Yes, you can apply for a green card through your employer, but marrying a U.S. citizen usually offers a faster path if you ask me. Frankly each option has pros and cons.

Yes, you can apply through your employer, but marriage to your U.S. citizen boyfriend might be quicker. It depends on your goals because both paths are valid and worth exploring.

Both options are possible. Marriage may be faster, but employer sponsorship works too. It depends on what feels right for you.

Both options are valid. Marriage might be quicker, but employer sponsorship is solid too. Choose what makes the most sense for your situation.
