I am from Pakistan and currently living and working in the United States. I recently heard about possible travel bans and restrictions being discussed by the U.S. government, and it has made me very nervous about planning a trip home. I have a month of leave coming up, and I was hoping to visit family, but I’m unsure if leaving the U.S. could affect my ability to re-enter or maintain my work status. I want to know whether it’s safe to travel now, what visa or travel issues I might face, and how changing immigration policies could impact my plans.

At this time, there is no official complete travel ban specifically banning Pakistani citizens from entering the United States, though travel policies continue to evolve and may involve additional screening or restrictions.

Speculation about bans impacting Pakistan has circulated, but government officials have stated that there is no confirmed blanket ban in place right now. If travel rules change, enhanced scrutiny at consulates or longer processing times are more likely than an outright ban.
