Hello everyone, I would like to ask if it is possible to request an emergency immigrant visa interview on humanitarian grounds. My mom (the petitioner) had an accident and is scheduled for surgery, but my sister is already with her in the U.S. My visa bulletin is not yet current — will this affect my chances if I request an expedite?

Yes, you can request an expedited immigrant visa interview on humanitarian grounds due to your mother's accident and upcoming surgery. However, your visa bulletin not being current means the request will likely be denied unless the case is a life-or-death emergency.
