The EB-1A category is designed for individuals who can demonstrate extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics through sustained national or international acclaim. Applicants must either show a one-time major achievement, such as a significant internationally recognized award, or meet at least three of the regulatory criteria, such as published material about their work, original contributions of major significance, high salary, or judging the work of others. Evidence must establish that the individual is among the small percentage who have risen to the top of their field.
