You must first ensure that you have met your fiancée in person, that you travelled to meet them and you have evidence of your relationship. The initial form you file with USCIS to get the process started is the I-129F. Visit USCIS website for filing instructions. When in doubt, hire an immigration attorney to help you - it’s easier to hire at the beginning and take the right steps from the start than try to do these complex processes on your own, get stuck, and then have to hire a professional to likely start the process over. Best of luck!

Before anything else, file Form I-129F and gather evidence like photos, chat logs, and a signed statement confirming you’ll marry within 90 days. This petition must be approved before your fiancé(e) can even schedule their visa interview.

You must first file Form I-129F (Petition for Alien Fiancé(e)) with USCIS to officially begin the K-1 visa process. This form proves your relationship and intent to marry within 90 days after your fiancé(e) arrives in the U.S.
