The EB-2 category generally requires an advanced degree (master’s or higher) or a bachelor’s degree plus five years of progressive experience, or proof of exceptional ability in the sciences, arts, or business. EB-3 typically applies to professionals with at least a bachelor’s degree, skilled workers with at least two years of training or experience, and certain other workers. Visa availability and priority date movement often differ between these categories.
