What is DACA and who qualifies for it?

DACA provides temporary protection from deportation and work authorization to certain undocumented immigrants who arrived as children.

Applicants must have arrived before age 16, lived in the U.S. since 2007, and meet education or military service requirements.

DACA does not provide lawful status or a direct path to citizenship.
