In most cases, an expired visa doesn't automatically cancel your work permit. Your EAD remains valid until its expiration date, as long as you maintain your legal status. However, traveling outside the US and returning might be a challenge.

In terms of the most immediate impact of an expired work visa will be the loss of legal status for you. This could mean that you are no longer permitted to work and may be considered unlawfully present in the country.

If your visa expires, maybe your work permit isn't good anymore, unless it connect to other status. Check with immigration to be sure.

If your visa expires, your work permit, or Employment Authorization Document (EAD), which allows you to work legally in the US, also becomes invalid, and you are no longer authorized to work.
