If your asylum application is denied, the next steps depend on your immigration status. If you still have lawful status (such as a valid visa), you may remain in the U.S. until that status expires. If you do not have lawful status, your case is usually referred to immigration court for removal (deportation) proceedings, where you can present your case again before a judge.
