If you miss your asylum interview, USCIS will generally consider your application abandoned unless you can provide a valid explanation for your absence. This means your case may be dismissed, and you could lose the opportunity to pursue asylum through USCIS.

Tell USCIS asap and reschedule another one. If you don’t show up or notify them, it can affect your application negatively
