The H1B visa

There are a number of employment-based visas, both nonimmigrant (e.g., temporary) and immigrant (e.g., permanent) visas. Some of the most common nonimmigrant employment-based visas are E, H, L, O, P, and TN visas; while some of the most common immigrant visas are EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, and EB-5. Depending on your educational and professional credentials, you may be better qualified for one visa over another.
