If your green card hasn’t been approved yet, a divorce will likely cause your case to be denied, unless you qualify for an exception (like VAWA).

If you already have a conditional green card, you may still be able to file Form I-751 to remove conditions on your own if the marriage was real.

If the divorce is filed after you file the I-751 but before it's approved, you can request a waiver of the joint filing requirement.
