What are the options for a Green Card holder to bring aging parents to the U.S., and what is the process for sponsoring them?

Green Card holders can’t bring their aging parents directly to the U.S. but they can become citizens first and then help their parents get a Green Card.

Green Card holders can’t sponsor their aging parents for a Green Card directly. They can become U.S. citizens, then sponsor their parents as immediate relatives, which is faster. They can also apply for a visitor visa (B-2) for their parents to visit the U.S. for a short time, but this doesn’t give permanent residency.
