You have a 60-day grace period to stay in the U.S. after your employment ends.

If you find a new employer, they must file a new H-1B petition before the 60 days are up.

You may also apply to change your status to another visa type like B-2 tourist or F-1 student if eligible.

If you don’t find a new job or change status, you must leave the U.S. before the grace period ends.
