If I lose my H-1B job due to downsizing, how long do I have to find a new sponsoring employer?

You typically have 60 days or until your authorized period of stay ends, whichever is shorter, to find a new H-1B sponsoring employer or depart the US.

The USCIS allows a 60-day grace period for H-1B workers to find new employment or leave the country after job loss due to layoff or downsizing.

H-1B holders usually get a 60-day discretionary grace period to secure new H-1B sponsorship, change status, or depart the US after losing their job.

After losing an H-1B job, you generally have up to 60 days to find a new employer willing to sponsor your visa, or you may need to leave the US.
