My child was born in the U.S., but I’m undocumented. Can I apply for legal status through them?

No, having a U.S.-born child doesn’t grant you immediate legal status. However, when they turn 21, they can sponsor you for a green card under family-based immigration.

No, a U.S.-born child cannot directly sponsor you until they turn 21, but other options may be available.
