My spouse got their green card through me, can they lose it if we divorce?

If your spouse received their green card through marriage to you and you divorce, the impact depends on when they obtained it. If they have a conditional green card (valid for 2 years), a divorce can complicate the process of removing conditions (Form I-751). However, they can still apply to remove conditions independently by showing the marriage was entered in good faith.

Not necessarily, your spouse won’t automatically lose their green card just because of a divorce. If they have the 10-year green card, they’re usually fine
