My fiancé and I live together abroad. Can we still apply for a K-1 visa even though we live in the same country?

Yes, you can apply for a K-1 visa as long as your fiancé is a U.S. citizen and you intend to marry within 90 days of entering the U.S.

Yes—cohabiting abroad doesn’t bar a K‑1 petition. As long as one fiancé is a U.S. citizen, you’ve met in person within two years, and intend to marry within 90 days, you can apply.

Yes, living together abroad doesn’t prevent a K-1 visa. The U.S. citizen must have met in person within two years, and you must marry within 90 days of entry.
