My child was born in the U.S., but I am undocumented. Does my child’s citizenship help me get legal status?

Not right away. Your U.S.-born child can’t sponsor you until they turn 21. In the meantime, explore options like Parole in Place or other immigration relief programs.

Sorry, got carried away for a bit. I meant to say that your child’s U.S. citizenship doesn’t automatically grant you legal status, but it may help with certain immigration processes, such as applying for a family-based visa or petition.
