My Aunts B-2 visa expired while she was hospitalized, and she couldn’t leave the U.S. on time. She wants to visit again next year. Will this overstay affect her next visa application?

An overstay can definitely impact future visas, but if she has strong documentation showing hospitalization, it may help explain her situation.

Yes, overstaying can affect her next visa application. She should explain the medical emergency, provide documentation, and demonstrate strong ties to her home country to improve her chances.
