I’ve been living here legally for five years, am I eligible to apply for citizenship yet?

You might be eligible if the country allows citizenship after 5 years of residency, has no additional requirements, and you're willing to pass a citizenship test.

You may need to wait a bit longer, depending on the country's residency requirement, which could be 6-10 years, and fulfill other conditions like language proficiency.

You may need to meet additional requirements, such as holding a specific type of visa or residency permit, demonstrating language skills, or passing a citizenship test, before applying for citizenship.
