I'm on an F-1 student visa, and my OPT is about to expire. My employer is willing to sponsor me for an H-1B visa, but I missed the registration period. What can I do now?

You can explore applying for the next H-1B lottery when the registration period reopens

If you qualify for Day 1 CPT, consider pursuing that option while waiting for the H-1B lottery.

Alternatively, you could look into other visa options such as an O-1 visa for individuals with extraordinary abilities.

If your employer is willing to sponsor, they can also consider filing for an H-1B cap-exempt petition if they are a research organization or university.
