I'm applying for a Green Card and need to undergo an immigration medical exam. What's required?

Undergo a medical examination, including a review of your medical history and vaccinations.

The doctor will make sure you have all vaccines required by the CDC, including MMR, Tdap, varicella, hepatitis B, flu (if in season), and COVID-19.

Find a designated civil surgeon approved by USCIS who is authorized to perform immigration medical exams

You'll be tested for things like tuberculosis (TB) (with a blood or skin test), and sometimes syphilis and gonorrhea, depending on age.

If you're good to go, you'll receive a medical clearance, which will be submitted with your immigration application and is a required step in the Green Card process.
