I’m a lawful permanent resident but have been outside the U.S. for more than one year. Can I still come back?

You’ll likely need a Returning Resident (SB-1) visa or other documentation, as being outside the U.S. over a year may have affected your permanent resident status.

You may not be allowed to reenter without a returning resident visa, as staying abroad over a year can lead to loss of your permanent resident status.
