I'm a Green Card holder and want to sponsor my adult child for a Green Card. What are the requirements and process?

You'll need to file Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, with USCIS to establish the relationship between you and your adult child.

The petition will be reviewed, and if approved, your child will be eligible for an immigrant visa.

The waiting period for a visa number may vary depending on the category and country of origin. However, once a visa number becomes available, your child will need to attend an interview at a US embassy or consulate.

After entering the US, your child will receive a Green Card and be considered a lawful permanent resident, with the right to live and work in the US.
