I'm a foreign worker with an approved I-140 petition, but my employer is no longer sponsoring me. Can I port my petition to a new employer?

To be eligible for portability, you must meet specific requirements, such as having an approved I-140 petition and being in a similar occupation.

Under the American Competitiveness in the Twenty-First Century Act (AC21), certain employment-based green card applicants may be eligible to change jobs or employers without abandoning their approved I-140 petition.
