If my asylum case is denied, what happens next? Will I be deported immediately?

If your asylum case is denied, you will receive a notice to appear in immigration court. You may be placed in removal proceedings, but you generally won’t be deported immediately

No, you won’t be deported right away if your asylum case is denied — so don’t panic. Usually, your case gets sent to immigration court, where you get another chance to explain your situation in front of a judge
