I qualify for an EB-2 visa, but I’m uncertain whether to pursue the regular EB-2 route or the National Interest Waiver (NIW). What factors should I consider when choosing between these two options, and how might the choice impact my timeline for approval?

NIW can be independent of the employer. This will give you the freedom to explore different positions. However, the you have to qualify for the NIW petition which is different from regular employer -sponsored PERM -based EB-2. Talk to a professional to evaluate your qualification for NIW. I think that is a better option.
