I have my green card but I want to travel outside the U.S. for about a year, I hope it doesn't affect me?

Yes, extended absences can be seen as abandoning your permanent residency unless you apply for a reentry permit.

Hello, if you’re outside for more than a year without a permit, you may need to apply for an SB-1 Returning Resident Visa.
