I am a green card holder, but I have lost my green card on a vacation outside the U.S, what can I do?

Sorry, you lost your card. You’ll need to apply for a boarding foil (Form I-131A) at a U.S. consulate to return to the U.S. This process can take a few days, so contact the embassy immediately.

There's something called a boarding foil. You'll need to apply for that at the nearest embassy or consulate.
