How can someone with a criminal record apply for U.S. citizenship, and what are the key factors that could affect their eligibility?

I think that someone with a criminal record can still apply for U.S. citizenship but must disclose their record. Their eligibility would depend on several factors like the severity of the crime and the time since the conviction.

Someone with a criminal record can apply for US citizenship, but it depends on the nature and timing of their offenses. The govt will look at if it is an aggravated felony, or multiple offenses, and if it happened during the period for demonstrating good moral character

There's hope if the crime isn't too bad. Good luck.
