How can an H1B visa holder apply for permanent residency in the U.S.?

Your U.S. employer can file an I-140 Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker on your behalf. After approval, you can apply for adjustment of status to permanent residency while in the U.S. Alternatively, you can pursue consular processing if you're outside the U.S.

I will advise you to try labor certification (PERM) or I-140 petition or Adjustment of Status (I-485)
Or you can do it through family sponsorship

By obtaining employer sponsorship for a green card through the PERM process, filing Form I-140, and adjusting status with Form I-485 if eligible.
