Do I need a joint bank account for a marriage-based green card?

No, it’s not required by law, but a joint bank account is strong evidence of a real, shared financial life.

If you’re newly married, show plans to combine finances, or that you’ve started the process like adding your spouse as a beneficiary or authorized user.
