Can I travel internationally with an expired Green Card?

Technically, you should not travel internationally with an expired Green Card. It may cause problems when trying to re-enter the U.S.

You are still a lawful permanent resident even if your Green Card is expired. But proving your status without a valid card can be challenging.

You should renew your Green Card before traveling if possible. Use Form I-90 to request a renewal.
