Can I enter the U.S. with an expired passport and valid visa?

No, your passport must be valid when you enter the U.S. a valid visa alone isn’t enough.

If your passport is expired, your visa is essentially unusable until the passport is renewed.

If your visa is in an expired passport, but you have a new valid passport, you can travel with both just show both at entry.

If your visa is also expired, you’ll need to apply for a new visa after renewing your passport.
