Can I bring my family if I get asylum?

Yes, in many countries, if your asylum is approved, you can apply to bring close family members usually you can bring your spouse and children under 18.

There is usually a time limit to apply, often within 1 or 2 years after getting asylum but in that situation, you will need to prove your relationship to your family members with documents.

If your family is in danger, tell the immigration officer so it can speed up the process and also if your family is already in the country, they may be able to apply for asylum too.
