can anyone tell me why do visas sometimes take forever, or worse, get rejected? What’s usually the problem?

From what I’ve seen, people usually face issues with visas if they don’t meet the eligibility criteria or don’t give enough supporting evidence. Even a small mistake can lead to rejection or delays

Honestly, embassies just have different processing times. Some are quicker than others based on their workload or the type of visa. If you're applying during peak seasons, good luck with the wait

I had to wait ages for my visa once because my background check got stuck. They kept re-verifying my information, and it wasn’t even my fault. These things can happen, but it’s so frustrating

rejections often happen when there are inconsistencies in your application, like mismatched information or missing documents. Financial proof and intent to return to your home country are big factors too
