My cousin overstayed his visa by 8 months but wants to return to America after leaving. Will the overstay affect him to re-enter?

Because the overstay was more than 180 days, you can get a 3-year ban from re-entering the US

Your cousin will likely be stopped from entering unless he has a waiver

Yes it will affect him. He can't enter for at least three years
