My brother is undocumented and he is living in Texas. I want to know, if he marries his U.S. citizen girlfriend, will he be able to legalize his status?

Yes, marriage to a U.S. citizen may help him legalize his status, but it depends on how he entered the U.S. and other factors. He should speak with an immigration attorney.

If he entered the U.S. legally, marriage to a U.S. citizen could help him get legal status. But it’s best he talks to an immigration lawyer first.
